Abstract
We developed high performance tangential rotors such as 4wing-h rotor, and have much experience in the field of tangential rotors in internal mixers. On the other hand, there is another type of mixers on the market, of which rotor has an intermeshing configuration.
We have studied the effect of intermeshing rotors and developed the new intermeshing rotor. In this paper the mixing performance of this rotor that means good cooling effect, good Mooney viscosity reduction, good carbon dispersion, is described in the comparison for two types compounds, NR- and EPDM- carbon black compounds.
