New Perspectives from Traditional Rubber Technology
Takashi INOUE Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, Yamagata University, Yonezawa, Japan Nippon Gomu Kyokaishi,(2008),81(6),218-222 General Review in Japanese Abstract Rubber technology has a long history. There still remain many unsolved subjects, being technologically familiar but scientifically unclear. By going back to such subjects and thinking deeply, one could put forth various new perspectives. The examples are shown for the polymer/polymer mixing, the processability and rubber elasticity of thermoplastic vulcanizate, the resin curing, and the cure heterogeneity. Keywords: Shear-induced Mixing, Thermoplastic Vulcanizate, Reaction-induced Spinodal Decomposition, Sulfur, Zinc Oxide |
