Recent Progress of Surface Analysis of Polymers 1. The analysis of surface has an important role in characterizing the surface composition and structure in relation to the surface properties. And it is also important in case of making clear the cause of defects and irregularities which appeared on the surfaces. The recent progress in the surface analysis of polymers will be explained in this course, which has three parts. This article is the first part. In this first part, author describes about the outline of the applications of the commercialized instruments for surface chemical analysis and profile measurements to polymer surfaces.
