Abstract
In this paper, we introduce the newest rescue robots which we have been developing and some applications of soft material for rescue robots. Rescue robots are expected in the field of searching victims as the first application. The mobility on rubble is in one of the technology required in order to attain development. In order to make robots possible to run over rubbles, we adopted track crawlers using soft material as mobile mechanism for rescue robots. Using soft material is very effective to get traction on an edge of the stair to climb up the stairs. Improvement of the quality of the soft material will be expected from now on.
