Membership, Name Change,
and Withdrawal

Q.

I would like to join. Please tell me how to apply.

A.

Please fill out the Membership Application Form and pay the annual membership fee. For details, please refer to the Membership Information Page.

Q.

Is it possible to change the name of a regular member to another employee within the company?

A.

Yes, it is possible if you complete the name change procedure.Please selec “Name Change” on the Membership Application Form and proceed with the procedure.

※This is subject to the condition that the previous member has paid the membership fee for the current year.
※If you wish to change the members participating in the research subcommittee, please notify the Research Committee.

Q.

What is the procedure for withdrawing from the association?

A.

Please notify us of your intention to withdraw via email or postal mail. Please note that refunds for membership fees already paid are not possible.

What can I do on the Member-Only Page?

A.

You can request membership fee invoices and receipts, change your membership information, and more. For details, please see the PDF(Japanese Only)

Events

Q.

Can non-members participate in research presentations such as the annual conference and elastomer discussion meetings?

A.

Presenters must have an individual membership status (regular member, Honorary Member, or student member). Attendance as a listener is possible, but a non-member rate will apply.

Q.

I have registered for an event. Can I receive an invoice or receipt?

A.

Yes, if a My Page is created after registration, you can download it from there. For other events, please contact the event coordinator directly.

Payment

Q.

When is the annual membership fee due?

A.

We will announce the membership fee payment deadline in early February each year, and payment is due by late March.
For members with automatic bank transfers, the payment will be deducted around late February.

Q.

I would like to request an invoice or receipt for the membership fee.

A.

Q.

Can I make payments for membership fees or event fees using my company name?

A.

If paying with a company name, please notify us in advance of the recipient's name, membership fee name or event name, and payment date.

Q.

Can I use a credit card or convenience store payment?

A.

The following payments can be made using a credit card or convenience store payment:
Annual membership fee, subcommittee fee, participation fees for the three major events (annual conference, summer seminar, elastomer discussion meeting), etc.

Research Committee

Q.

How do I join the Research Committee?

A.

To participate in a Research Committee, you must be a regular member or your employer must be an associate member. For application methods and details, please refer to the “Research Committee” page.

Q.

What procedures are required to change the member participating in a Research Committee?

A.

A name change procedure is required, so please contact the Research Committee in charge.

Submission of papers to
the association journal
and permission to reprint

Q.

How do I submit a paper?

A.

Please prepare your manuscript in accordance with the submission guidelines and send it by email attachment to the Society of Rubber Science and Technology, Japan. For details, please visit the “JAssociation Journal magaziness” page.

Q.

I would like to reprint a published paper. How do I obtain permission?

A.

Please submit a “Reprint Permission Request” by email attachment to the Society of Rubber Science and Technology, Japan. The same applies to books and other materials handled by the Society of Rubber Science and Technology, Japan.

International Activities

Q.

I heard that you have established cooperative relationships with overseas organizations. What organizations are they?

A.

We have concluded MOUs with the following organizations and are engaged in mutual exchange activities.

Questions about rubber

Q.

Can you provide information about rubber products, specifications, or performance standards?

A.

We are unable to provide such information. Please contact the Japan Rubber Manufacturers Association.

Q.

Can you provide information about rubber testing methods? Can you accept requests for rubber measurements?

A.

We are unable to assist with this matter. Please contact the Chemicals Evaluation and Research Institute, Japan.
