Nippon Gomu Kyokaishi,(2019),92(8),302-308 General Review in Japanese
There are three theories in the composite mechanics of fiber reinforced rubber used in tires; Classical Lamination Theory (CLT), Modified Lamination Theory (MLT) and Discrete Lamination Theory (DLT). Furthermore, the finite element method has been used in the tire design for belt and bead constructions. Those theories are reviewed and their applications for tires and rubber products are summarized.
