In this paper, I will describe the crosslinked structure and crosslinking mechanism of crosslinking, which is commonly used. Crosslinking mechanism and crosslinked structure has been studied in various ways, but it has not been elucidated clearly.
Crosslinking of the rubber with sulfur was discovered 175 years ago. Then, the organic peroxide crosslinking, quinoid crosslinking and resin crosslinking has been put to practical use. Further, special purpose rubbers are developed the new crosslinking methods have also been developed accordingly.
