Abstract
The basic features of polymer production process for plastics, synthetic rubbers and synthetic fibers are described.
The gclosed system of production processh and the gsaving of materials and energyh are important concepts for solving the counter measurement of environment and reduction of cost. The concrete procedures and examples of application of these concepts are shown. The scale-up and simplification of production process are most effective measures for the counter measurement of environment and reduction of cost. The development of polymerization reactor for poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) is shown as an example of scale-up. The developments of production processes for polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) are shown as examples of simplification.
